Property Association vs.
Improvement District

The SPRING LAKE PROPERTY ASSOCIATION, INC., and the
SPRING LAKE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT are two separate entities, and newcomers should be informed of the jurisdiction of each.

 

SPRING LAKE PROPERTY ASSOCIATION. INC.

  1. Maintains an office from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm Monday through Thursday and from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm on Friday.

  2. Has the authority to enforce the Deeds of Restriction in your area. Refer to your Village Deed of Restrictions.

  3. Residents automatically become members of this association and pay annual dues that are currently $45.00 per lot starting in January of 2020. A late charge of $25.00 plus .0075% interest per month, per lot, is added if not paid within 30 days from statement date.

  4. Annual election to elect officers and directors.

 

SPRING LAKE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

  1. The office is located at 115 Spring Lake Boulevard and is open from 8:oo am until 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.

  2. Controls all the water supplies in Spring Lake. Call them if you should have problems with your drinking water.

  3. They control all reception areas: Community Center, Tennis Courts, Parks, etc.

  4. Water bills are sent monthly for water use, street lights and mosquito control.

  5. Owner's vacant lot mowing bills are now billed as non-ad valorem tax on your annual county tax statement.
